Atlanta 5th June 2024

The day started with some fun and banter which led to the evening event. Daaji did a panel with J.Ivy, a 3-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter and poet, and Pastor Richard Burdick. They talked about spirituality and philosophical practices.

The Highlight of the Day

Daaji had J. Ivy and his team over for dinner, where they discussed plans to bring Brighter Minds to over 10,000 students in Chicago. They also took a picture while wearing their matching hats!

On Wednesday, Daaji conducted a meditation session and had lunch at Br. Victor and Sis. Pratibha Kanan’s home. During lunch, he FaceTimed their daughter, Swati, asking her how she was since she had fallen sick and had to cancel her trip to Atlanta. At the table, someone mentioned how it started raining profusely the moment Daaji entered the home, and then it cleared up. They referenced an old Bollywood film, “Aap Aye Bahaar Ayee'' (‘As soon as you came, spring arrived’). In response, Daaji remembered an old joke: “Aap aye bahaar ayee. Mein aye bukhar ayee” (‘As soon as you came, spring arrived. When I came, a fever arrived’).

Later in the evening, Daaji arrived at Unity North Atlanta church for a public event. There, he did a panel with J.Ivy, a 3-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter and poet, and Pastor Richard Burdick. Before the event, all three of them had a lively conversation at the church’s “Peace Chapel,” a tranquil space designed for reflection and communion.

On the stage, they continued the conversation, exploring many spiritual and philosophical questions. This was followed by a Brighter Minds and Heartfulness Meditation demo with Daaji. The audience of 1000+ left energized with this experience. Daaji asked the Atlanta Heartfulness preceptors to conduct weekly group meditations at the church.

After the event, Daaji had J. Ivy and his team over for dinner, where they discussed plans to bring Brighter Minds to over 10,000 students in Chicago. They also took a picture while wearing their matching hats!
