A live journal of blessed activities in and around Kanha with Daaji
Simple tips to avoid making mistakes by Daaji
Responding to a question from one of them about the impact on the growth of spiritual chakras as described in the Sahaj Marg journey when one’s practice of meditation is irregular or halted, Daaji shared his insights.
Nature doesn't allow stagnation; you either ascend or descend. Choosing not to ascend inevitably leads to a descent, and sometimes, tragically, lower than your starting point. The decline seems to be gaining greater momentum.
After a morning walk, Daaji had breakfast with Victor Kannan, who arrived from the US, and some other practitioners. Daaji made his way to his backstage office around 9:40 a.m., where he engaged in conversation with a few practitioners. Madhava Reddy had brought some friends to meet Daaji. Responding to a question from one of them about the impact on the growth of spiritual chakras as described in the Sahaj Marg journey when one’s practice of meditation is irregular or halted, Daaji shared his insights.
Daaji: It depends. Stopping the practice, whether for justifiable reasons or driven by emotions like madness or anger, can have consequences. Sometimes, we practice with enthusiasm until our desires are fulfilled. However, when things go awry, we retreat into our own cocoon and experience bouts of depression. One must be cautious. A joyful heart is essential for swift progress, while a heavier heart hinders ascent. A heavier heart doesn't let you rise at all.
Abhyasi: I've been reflecting on that throughout the day.
Daaji: The reason for stopping, if rooted in madness, makes you heavier, impacting your spiritual journey. Nature doesn't allow stagnation; you either ascend or descend. Choosing not to ascend inevitably leads to a descent, and sometimes, tragically, lower than your starting point. The decline seems to be gaining greater momentum.
Abhyasi: I asked because my own practice sometimes oscillates.
Daaji: Don't let that happen. When you find it challenging to concentrate during meditation, don't procrastinate with thoughts like "Tomorrow is the day." Instead, read the inspiring books of Sahaj Marg to keep the flame of practice alive.
Abhyasi: Thank you, Master. Thank you for the meeting.
Daaji: Whenever you feel low and struggle to meditate, turn to reading Sahaj Marg books or visit a preceptor for a sitting.
Later, Dr. Ashok Jain, a radiologist and Board Member of Corewell Hospital from Michigan, along with his friend JK Chaturvedi, Chairman and Managing Director of Asian Petroproducts and Exports LTD from Ahmedabad, met Daaji. Following this, Daaji conducted a meditation session from 9:56 a.m. to 10:21 a.m.
After the session, he drove to Kanha Sarovar and invited Madhava Reddy and his friends to follow him in another car.
In the evening, Daaji led a meditation session for Santosh Khanjee and Ragini Khanjee, who were departing for the US. Many other abhyasis gradually joined in. Babu Gurram accompanied Shri Sanjeev Sharma, OSD, to the Minister of State for Communications, Government of India, to meet Daaji.
Later, Daaji went for a walk. After dinner, Daaji participated in a podcast interview with Phil Goldberg, adding to an extensive series of discussions on 'Spiritual Anatomy'.
