A live journal of blessed activities in and around Kanha with Daaji
Simple tips to avoid making mistakes by Daaji
It is this humility, this simplicity, this elegance that marks Daaji as exceptional in the firmament of great ones. Even the Prime Minister of India noticed it when he described his feelings towards Daaji in his speech at Kanha Shantivanam.
Raja Luis said, “Here in Heartfulness you have the ‘Kripa’. It is flowing towards the heart. And mindfulness doesn't reach there. It has a very good effect on making the brain calm, but doesn't connect the heart and the mind in this way”.
This put a broad smile on Daaji’s face, and he told Raja Luis that he had indeed understood it very well and used the right term for transmission. Raja Luis was presented with the Spiritual Anatomy book by Daaji sometime earlier.
In the morning Shreyas Khanjee from the US met Daaji and gave some rose plants to him. Brother Gowthaman transferred them to pots immediately. Daaji went to look at the plants before going for his walk. After breakfast, Daaji sat on the swing with Layaa for a while. An abhaysi doctor with his family came to meet Daaji. Gradually some others joined them and they took some photographs with Daaji near the Ganesha statue in front of his home entrance.
Later he went for rounds and as he stopped near the meditation hall office backstage where some overseas practitioners who were on a Kanha tour in a golf cart noticed Daaji and ran up to greet him. He met all of them upon their request and posed for a group photo with them. On returning home, Daaji joined his son Sahaj for some fitness exercises. He then asked all the participants from the preceptor training group to sit for meditation at 10:20 am for 45 minutes.
Around 11.40 Daaji went to the conference hall to take part in the Exponential Awakening workshop being conducted by Prof. Vivek Wadhwa. When he walked in, the conference was in full swing. Daaji sat and watched till Prof. Wadhwa finished his session on technology and its future. As soon as Daaji walked in, the entire audience turned to see him come in with due attention. Daaji came in and started to take a seat in one of the chairs near the entrance where many of the participants were sitting. But Prof Wadhwa stopped talking to greet Daaji and someone ushered him to the special sofa and chairs in the front reserved for the chief guests. It is this humility, this simplicity, this elegance that marks Daaji as exceptional in the firmament of great ones. Even the Prime Minister of India noticed it when he described his feelings towards Daaji in his speech at Kanha Shantivanam. This penchant towards self-effacement a legacy of Babuji is this.
Daaji then gave a brief talk which was a thunderstorm of a talk before conducting relaxation and meditation from 12.14 pm to 12.34 pm.

The members from the TIE (A group of entrepreneurs) who were the main sponsors of the event had a group photo at the auditorium entrance with Daaji. On the way he met many workshop participants, greeting them warmly.
In the evening Daaji met Raja Luis Alvarez and Shehkar Reddy from the Transcendental Meditation group.
Daaji explained to Raja Luis and Shekhar Reddy regarding Heartfulness bhandaras and how there are many in-between sessions for farmers, teachers, professionals, youth, government workers, for mothers, for couples who would be getting married, etc.
It was an interesting discussion on how both organizations could work together and publish joint research. The Transcendental meditation group was very appreciative of Kanha Shantivanam which they felt was like no other place on Earth.
Daaji told them about Heartfulness research which showed that if you are meditating for the first time with this Heartfulness way of meditation, you go to an even higher level of consciousness as compared to a study with the mindfulness technique with monks who had an aggregate meditation time of 20,000 hours or 30,000 hours. Transmission is the key which makes this happen.
To which Raja Luis said, “Here in Heartfulness you have the ‘Kripa’.
The discussion went towards the recent event of the Chintan Shibir of all the chief secretaries of India which could not be held in Kanha due to the lack of the required number of rooms. Even though the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji had decided to come and hold the meeting in Kanha Shantivanam, currently the facilities could not provide all those many rooms and sadly the event was not conducted here.
Soon enough a large number of facilities including luxury apartments which are in construction would be completed, according to Daaji. In the future, stay and registration in Kanha will be so simplified that one can avail of it while registering even on the way from the airport to Kanha.
This is Daaji’s vision because he believes that these days people are no longer able to manage such simple things as sleeping under trees when they attend seminars or spiritual events. He said, “The good old days when we did that have gone. Our creature comfort expectations have shifted. If we don't provide it, even people who are very serious about meditation, may not be able to stay here. Today’s human beings have forgotten how to sacrifice. They are not willing to sacrifice. Gradually, over time as they practice more, they learn how to do so. Otherwise, not too many years ago, I remember how I used to sleep under a tree whenever we had these huge spiritual gatherings, and we would at times find ants crawling around us.
There were times when I did not find a bedsheet, nor even a pillow in the lodgings given to us. I would bring some mud and make a pillow out of it. I remember it was in 1980, when we were in Delhi, at Babuji Maharaj’s birthday celebrations which went on for three whole days. And not only me, thousands of others stayed like that. Right up to 2014 or 2015, there were only simple tents. Now we are grateful to all the donors who have so generously contributed towards the construction of Kanha.
We are trying to create a habit in our people to save 50 Rupees a day for contributing to this cause. It's not a big thing. Just imagine if everyone did that, we could create many facilities on the globe. Every year we could create one Kanha somewhere if that could happen”.
Raja Luis said that they would come to see Daaji from time to time during the Maharishi event to tell him of the ongoing progress and thanked him for the opportunity to perceive the essence. He described his experience in Kanha how easily the knots would dissolve and Grace descended here. Daaji told Raja Luis that he had a very special state, a more refined state, very unique, and that he was an exceptional soul.
Daaji said that the message of both organizations working together needed to go to the media as it was through the media that the world would recognize that something was happening, that curiosity would arise, that transcendental meditation followers are not narrow-minded, and that heartlessness seekers are also not narrow-minded. Otherwise, you will never see two spiritual organizations coming together.
Daaji told them about the upcoming plan for a world conference of religions in Kanha and hoped that they would attend it. He then conducted a meditation session for all present at 6.57 pm.
Later both of them joined Daaji for dinner.
