Kanha Shantivanam 19th January 2024

In the lobby leading to the conference room, a team from Sanskardham Educational Trust in Ahmedabad greeted Daaji. Warm greetings were exchanged, and Daaji inquired about their project—studying Kanha as a prototype for a specialized preschool project under development for the Sanskardham Trust.

To the question of whether this prana pratishtha ceremony will awaken the nation just as Jambavan woke up Hanuman’s consciousness, Daaji answered boldly, saying that no, it may not. Why? Because for it to be effective, like in the case of Pranahuti, the person who seeks it needs to keep an open heart.

In the morning, Daaji was updated on the details of that evening’s CNN program for a five-minute live segment, which will be aired on CNN at the same time.

At precisely 10 a.m., Daaji came to the conference hall. Eager organizers of the teacher training program and a group of dedicated volunteers awaited him. They quickly provided insights to Daaji before his intervention into the ongoing program that aimed to train teachers and principals from the Delhi school system in the Brighter Minds initiative. With brisk strides, Daaji made his way toward the conference hall, with the team scurrying around him.

Daaji gracefully assumed his position in front of the audience as they prepared to commence the session. Just as the proceedings were about to begin, the driving force behind this initiative, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, IAS, joined the meeting via Zoom from his car. Himanshu Gupta, recently appointed as the Secretary for the Central Board of School Education in India, added his presence to the gathering virtually. He was thankful for Daaji’s guidance to the teachers urging them to take this opportunity to garner all they could in their quest for excellence.

When Himanshu Gupta, IAS, joined the Zoom call, Daaji rose from his own seat and moved aside to allow him the floor. This incident beautifully encapsulates the simplicity and significance of gestures that are inherently "Daaji." It's a testament to the fact that Daaji's presence doesn't require words. His essence, his demeanor, and his gentle way of living are evident in every gesture. Hearts naturally bow down to him, even in instances where the profound impact may not be fully comprehended by the person.

The unspoken influence of Daaji's being resonates deeply with those around him, leaving an indelible mark on those who have the privilege of meeting him, even if only for the briefest of moments. Many find themselves expressing sentiments like, "I don’t know why, but I simply adore Daaji!"

Their hearts become a canvas imprinted with the profound reality of Daaji’s simple presence—an ethereal aesthetic that transcends words and leaves an enduring impression.

Following this, the session transitioned into a meditation, starting at 10:06 am and concluding at 10:37 am. Daaji then engaged with the teachers, responding to their questions, and subsequently, many teachers and principals had the opportunity to meet with him, sharing their thoughts and experiences.

Daaji met the faculty and students from Silver Oak University, Ahmedabad. In appreciation, he was presented with a souvenir on behalf of the university's president. This university has welcomed the HOPE program with open arms and invested in the travel and participation of its students in it. At the request of all present, Daaji graciously posed for a group photo before heading back home.

Upon his return, he was on the computer for a while. Shobha Reddy, Madhava Reddy, Kirit Desai, Victor Kannan, and Uday Kumar had tea with him, after which he went upstairs for some much-needed rest. Later, at 2:30 p.m., he had a late lunch. The Heartyculture team met him after their trip taking part in the AYUSH expo in Dubai. He went for a walk with little Layaa after this.

In the evening, a short live interview with CNN took place. Two journalists, Swastika and Venkatesh, from the CNN team, along with Chandra, PR from Perfect Relations, visited Kanha and facilitated the connection for Daaji's live interview.

In the CNN interview, Daaji began to share his view on the Ram Mandir installation ceremony, which had been taking the nation by storm. In the din and clamor of the hundreds of world leaders speaking on this, Daaji’s brief message was a breath of purity, presenting something so simple and evident but still so innovatively invigorating.

Daaji spoke of Lord Ram as an incarnation of some of the noblest qualities. He sacrificed his own personal life just to maintain harmony within the kingdom.  He stands out as an ideal of what a son, a husband, a king, a brother, and a combination of so many of these are. Daaji described him as “tenderer than the tenderest of flowers yet stronger than any Vajra that you can find.”. He could even embrace his enemies. That aspect of his equipoise can be developed in a meditative state. So Daaji encouraged every heart listening to him to develop that generous state of being so that one can automatically imbibe those higher qualities, thoughts, and intuition through heartfulness meditation, which is supported by pranahuti.

Lord Ram set an example of an invincible character, and what better way to express our gratitude than to try and imbibe those values in our own lives?

To the question of whether this prana pratishtha ceremony will awaken the nation just as Jambavan woke up Hanuman’s consciousness, Daaji answered boldly, saying that no, it may not. Why? Because for it to be effective, like in the case of Pranahuti, the person who seeks it needs to keep an open heart. The people who search for this are, indeed, very few. Most people worship God out of greed to fulfill their desires or in fear of something. Those who seek God for the love of God are rare. So even if the Prana Pratistha has been done, if we think that things will change on their own and we can allegate our responsibilities to God, then it will be a fallacy.” The journalist thanked Daaji for explaining such important things in such a lucid manner before signing off.

Following the interview, Daaji invited everyone to join him for tea. While the tea was being prepared, he proposed a meditation session, guiding relaxation and meditation from 5:32 pm to 5:50 pm.

Afterward, Daaji engaged in a brief discussion with Swastika, addressing a couple of questions.

Q) Daaji, can you enlighten us on finding peace?

D) There is generally more noise inside ourselves than from outside us. The external world is not in our control. So if we try to find an environment where there is relative peace,. It is one of the reasons why we create such places, which are conducive to our spiritual growth. The environment we live in affects our inner state. The kind of company we keep also affects our inner state. The things we read and the movies we see affect us more than we can imagine.

Q: What is the best way of spending our lives?

D) Integrate the spiritual life with the day-to-day life. It is like the company of good people, which helps us. We try to separate our spiritual life from our material life. We tend to compartmentalize various areas of our lives. Our entire lives should become one flow of spiritual activity. Whatever we do should become spiritual. You do not need to do anything other than keeping a mindful attitude that whatever I am doing, I am doing to serve God. Simply make every activity sacred in nature. Try to maintain a peaceful mind at which we arrive after each morning meditation. It becomes increasingly more and more peaceful. This spreads to all areas of our lives in a natural way with practice.

Following their departure, three French abhyasis came to meet Daaji. He spoke on Facetime with our veteran abhyasi Madeline Badach, while sitting with them. When she told Daaji that she was very eager to come to Kanha and meet Daaji, Daaji said, I will come and meet you in France, in the coming May. On listening to this, there was no end to her joy.

Later, Ajay Bhatter and two guests, Shri Hari Kishan Chaudhary and his spouse, came to meet Daaji. Hari Kishan Chaudhary recounted some of his experiences with Babuji Maharaj to Daaji. Subsequently, Daaji suggested a meditation session, conducting it from 6:41 p.m. to 7:04 p.m. Feeling fatigued, Daaji concluded the day by retiring for some well-deserved rest.
