London 21st May 2024

Daaji was awarded the honor by a judge at Guildhall, who then provided Him and the rest of His guests with a history of the award and what it now means to be a Freeman of the City of London, which includes the right to own sheep and allow them to cross any of London’s bridges!

On the final night of His visit to London, Daaji was once again invited to dinner at the home of his pharmacy school friends, Bipin and Geetha Patel. The evening began with a short, beautiful meditation, and was followed by a full Gujarati meal, which Daaji thoroughly enjoyed. Dinner was filled with laughter and memories, as Daaji chatted with His old friends.

Daaji began the day conducting the meditation for the London practitioners, from his room itself. Afterward, Daaji headed back to Central London, to Guildhall, where He was awarded the Freedom of the City Award, from the City of London. This special award is given to individuals who have achieved success, recognition, or celebrity status in their chosen fields. This honor has been given to the late Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles, Morgan Freeman, Florence Nightingale, and many more.

Daaji presented both the award sponsor, Rehana Paul, and the judge, with signed copies of Spiritual Anatomy and took several photos with His new award.

He was then joined by several Heartfulness volunteers and special guests for lunch, during which He was asked to share a few words. Daaji emphasized how important experiencing meditation is and He encouraged everyone to try it at least once.

After lunch, Daaji signed a few more books before heading back to the InterContinental to rest. Several practitioners who were eager to catch a glimpse of him greeted him in the lobby.
